Every year riders from all over the world come to the Oisans for events such as the MegaValanche or Mountain of Hell.

An evidence with all those mythic cols of the Tour de France
The chalet is located nearby the famous cols: Alpe d'Huez, Glandon, Croix de Fer, Lautaret, Galibier, Les 2 Alpes... A perfect starting point to discover all of these beautiful mountain roads.
Besides the famous climbs, you can discover our 'hidden beauty roads' with nearly no traffic, like the three balcony roads or the col de Sarenne. We'll let you know where to drink the perfect coffee or have spaghetti at noon.

Auris lies in the center of different massifs: parc des Ecrins, Belledonne, Les Grandes Rousses, La Meije... You can use our hiking maps and we can advise you on which hike to choose.

* Every Saturday you can visit the local market of Le Bourg d'Oisans with all kind of products from local farmers: cheese, bread, honey, ail des ours, ...
* several outdoor swimming pools (Auris, Bourg d'Oisans, Les Deux Alpes, Alpe d'Huez). Going for a swim surrounded by mountain peaks is just breathtaking
* typical mountain villages: Venosc (with lot's of local artists definitely worth paying a visit), Besse, St Christophe-en-Oisans...
* Visit the local farmers at their farm! In the 'route des savoirs faire' local farmers open their doors and guide you around or let you taste their products.
