The chalet is nested on the southern face in a quiet peaceful mountain hamlet. Discover the simple things in life and forget all about a stressful job, enjoy a well-deserved break.
Hiking – snowshoeing
Auris grooms in winter slopes reserved for hikers. These trails are accessible for every hiker, no special skills are required. Why don’t you meet up with friends in one of the mountain bars?
Also the direct surroundings of the chalet are packed with hikes, like ‘le tour des villages’. We know our mountain very well and are happy to give you tips & tricks to spot Chamois, deer's and other wild life. The mountain has lots to discover, regardless your level & physical condition.
Looking for a sportive adventure in the mountains? Consider snowshoeing and leave your own trace in the powder. A local hiking guide takes you on the most beautiful tours in remote valleys with breath-taking views.
Cross country skiing
The Alpe d’Huez Grand Domaine Ski offers several loops for cross-country skiing. No prejudices! Just give it a try and discover the awesome mix of sports, nature and lots of fun.
Fatbiking is a new discipline of mountainbiking. These bikes with really fat/large tires offer the possibility to conquer our snowed slopes. With our tips & tricks you can make some nice tours to be remembered. So, if you own a fatty, don’t leave it at home!

The Oisans mountains have several famous off piste runs for beginners to expert powder skiers. Descend through hidden canyons, so called ‘couloirs’ and ‘combes’, to experience this ultimate powder fun. Of course we highly advise you to contact a professional guide.
At just a 20 minutes’ drive from the chalet, you can find a 3rd ski domain: La Grave. This rather odd ski domain has just 1 lift, but one that kicks ass! You are dropped at 3600m where the real adventure starts. Here are no groomed pistes, no limits, no boundaries, just lots of powder and pure freedom!
This world famous area has literally no limits. Only for expert skiers/boarders who let them guide by the local heroes.

Although tourskiing is less known under tourists, it is the preferred discipline of skiing of the French locals. The guide takes you on a trip through forgotten valleys with the mindset “earn your thrills”. With special gear it is made possible to climb up the mountains with your skis, and then… you drop in with the most spectacular descents. Reserved for advanced skiers with/without tourski experience.
